Jhanak is truly dedicated to spread rich South Asian culture to the community through teaching and stage performances. Jhanak offers professional instructions on KATHAK, semi-classical, modern/bollywood dance in Herndon, VA.  Jhanak's artistic director, Arpita Roy is a very talented Kathak dancer, choreographer and dedicated teacher. Arpita has been teaching Kathak and modern/bollywood dance for over 6 years in Nothern Virginia area. Arpita has a combined experience of over 25 years as dancer and a very successfull teacher.

JHANAK is now proudly affiliated with PADATIK Dance Centre. PADATIK is one of India's premier Kathak dance institutions. The legendary Kathak maestro Pt. Birju Maharaj has been associated with Padatik Dance Centre since 1998. This will enable Jhanak's students to earn the most prestigious certificates and/or degrees on Kathak from a premier Kathak academy of India.
